Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) drei blaue 2:1 gestellte Kirchtürme, die beiden oberen mit spitzem, der untere mit barockem Helm.“ Mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Münster vom 28.11.1983 wurde der Gemeinde Nordkirchen die Führung eines Wappens, eines Banners und eines Siegels genehmigt. Die drei Kirchtürme stellen die drei Ortsteile, in denen der Name Kirche (Capelle) vorkommt, symbolisch dar. Die Farben Blau und Gold sind die Farben des Hauses Plettenberg, das 1694 den gesamten Morrien'schen Besitz kaufte und 1703 den Grundstein zur Schlossanlage legte. Es handelt sich somit um ein "redendes Wappen".
English: „Or, three churchtowers azure in ratio 2:1 the two above with pitched roofs and the tower in the base with a baroque helmet.“ The arms were granted on November 28, 1983. The three churches symbolise the three villages in the municipality, all with a name ending on -kirchen (church). The colours are derived from the arms of the Plettenberg family, who built the local castle.
